My Love For Bark, lol!


I have to laugh at myself sometimes as I am out and about taking photos, at
what attracts my eye.  I am always drawn to unusual tree bark with
neat textures or colors.  This particular photo is of a birch tree.
It has some sort of host on it, and I think the colors are wonderful.

    This looks more like peeling paint than bark. Sure is attractive.I love all the textures here.

      Thats what I thought when I first saw it Ruth, but then I saw more trees with this in different areas. It must be a fungus host of some type :o) It doesn't seem to be hurting the trees.
