Alaskan Pussy Willows


Springtime always has me searching for pussy willows, especially
those that look like they could be part of a firework display.
When the days are warm enough for the bees to fly from their hives, then 
these wonderful burst of color and pollen greet them.

    These are very pretty. Out here I think we only have ones with yellow on them.

      We have a lot of different willows here in Alaska. I don't know how many different types are in my area, but there are over 100 different varieties in North America!!
